Comcast donates $2 Million to Free Geek
I had the honor of working alongside Comcast’s PR team to help announce the $2 million donation that Free Geek was receiving during the holiday of 2023. This came due to the longevity and hard work of bridging the digital divide that Free Geek had been doing for the past 23 years.
Give!Guide 2023
Give!Guide is Portland's easiest path to end-of-year giving. The campaign is Willamette Week’s annual effort to raise funds for — and draw attention to — the good works of local nonprofits.
Each year, Free Geek participates in the Give!Guide campaign. I oversaw the marketing strategy and design efforts for this initiative, which led to a new donation record of $77,975 for Free Geek.
Free Geek 23rd anniversary
This project was a celebration of Free Geek’s 23rd birthday, coinciding with a month-long donation drive known as #TechNow. Several partners, including Intel, First Tech Federal Credit Union, HP, Audacy, and the City of Gresham, supported Free Geek by helping raise donations from the community.
The t-shirt design was chosen from submissions received during an open call to the community. The shirts were then promoted online and at community events as part of Free Geek’s fundraising initiative.

A Kids Book About Digital Equity by Juan Muro
A Kids Book About Digital Equity is about the world of connectivity and how technology plays such a vital role in a person’s everyday life.
I was a part of the team that oversaw this book proofreading process and rollout which entailed coordinating activations for book signings and working with the folks at A Kids Co. team. Free Geek and Juan were able to set up a table at NDIA’s Net Inclusion Conference that takes place during Digital Inclusion week.
Binary Brewing x Free Geek Motherboard stout
Motherboard Stout was a beer collaboration between Free Geek and Binary Brewing Co. of Beaverton during the 2023 holiday season, created in support of Free Geek’s mission.
This marked the second year of collaboration between Free Geek and Binary Brewing. The staff at Binary Brewing have long been fans of Free Geek's work and saw this partnership as a great opportunity to strengthen ties.
I led the collaboration efforts with Binary Brewing, contributing to discussions about the beer’s name, type, and finalizing any designs their team developed. We also coordinated a day for Free Geek staff to visit Binary Brewing and participate in the brewing process.
